ನಾವು ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ಗಿಡ ಮರಗಳ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಔದಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ಅನುಕರಣಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿವೆ !? ನಾವು ಸವೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ನೀರು ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಅಷ್ಟೆ (ಅದೂ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ಸಿಗೋದು ಮತ್ತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಡವಾದದ್ದು.) ಆದರೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮರವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಮಿಕ್ಕಿ ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ನೆರಳಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ! ತಂಗಾಳಿಯಿತ್ತು ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನೆರವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಸವಿಯಾದ ಹಣ್ಣು ಹಂಪಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನೆರಳು , ನೆರವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಎಂದೂ ಡಂಗುರ ಸಾರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ! ಆದರೆ ನಾವು !? ಈ ಮರದ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಅವಲೋಕಿಸಿ ನಾವು ಕಲಿಯೋದು ತುಂಬಾ ಇದೆ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ ಗೆಳೆಯರೇ ?
